From the Hudson Valley Farm Hub

Hudsonia’s Erik Kiviat and frequent collaborator Jason Tesauro joined the Farm Hub Research Collaborative to devise methods to keep wood turtles (Glyptemys insculpta) out of harm’s way on working farms. Radio-tracking allowed the team to learn where and when the turtles put themselves at risk of injury and death by crossing roads and venturing onto crop lands. Please read Farm Hub’s write-up here.
