White Feather Farm - Walk on the Wild Side: Ecosystem Discovery Walk with Hudsonia

Hudsonia staff lead this amble about the "back 40" of White Feather Farm in Saugerties, visiting forest, field, and wetland to learn who lives in and relies upon each habitat. This tour of the Farm's significant habitats, which Hudsonia mapped last year, will focus on plant-life but will also discuss the ecology of some of the local animals. In addition to meadows and mature hemlock and hardwood forests, the outing will include a walk through a beautiful oak-maple swamp. Anyone who is curious about the wilder side of the natural world is encouraged to sign up, no matter your age or experience level.
